We live with temperature extremes in Oklahoma. Strengthening your home’s ability to fight the cold or heat with insulation is the most direct, cost-efficient way to improve your home. Not only will it make your home more comfortable, but it will also decrease your energy bills.
According to the EPA’s Energy Star website, adding attic insulation is the best way to save energy in your home. The next best place to insulate is the basement or crawl space.
There’s no one more capable of helping you insulate your home more efficiently than Stillwater Building Center. It’s not a huge, expensive, invasive project. The average house normally only takes a few hours to complete.
Do It Yourself
At SBC, we have all of the materials that you need to insulate your home, and we even rent the blowing machine. Choose from Owen's Corning L77 ProPink loosefill insulation, or Cell-Pak Supreme Plus Cellulose.
Or Have Us Do It For You
SBC’s team of installers is well-trained to help you. They are not subcontractors. They work for SBC and bring many years of experience.
Stillwater Building Center carries BIBS® certification. The BIBS® system is a proprietary insulation system that blows dry fiberglass insulation into walls, floors, attics and cathedral ceilings. They also work with the best insulation manufacturers available, including Owens Corning.®
Ideally, a normal home should have approximately R30, or 10-1/2” deep, of insulation in its attic. However, many experts recommend R38, at least 14” or more, for maximum efficiency.
The majority of homeowners let SBC install it, but you can also rent the blower and install it for yourself when you use our product.
